The Chicago White Sox have called up Avisail Garcia from Triple-A Charlotte.
Garcia, 22, will take over a spot in the White Sox outfield now that Alex Rios has been sent to Texas.
The White Sox acquired Garcia in the three way trade which sent Jake Peavy to Boston. Garcia came over from Detroit. Garcia had an impressive .379/.431/.561 line at Triple-A this season. Garcia hit seven home runs and drove in 36 in 216 plate appearances.
