The Atlanta Braves won again on Friday night, this time defeating the Miami Marlins 5-0.
There have been several bright spots in the Braves current 14 game win streak but Brandon Beachy was the brightest on Friday.
Beachy delivered a strong performance in Friday’s victory over the Marlins, striking out six and scattering just three hits and a walk over eight scoreless innings.
The right-hander from Kokomo, In needed just 99 pitches to dispose of the Marlins for his first win of the season.
Chris Johnson provided three runs via a home run in his first at-bat. Johnson is currently leading the National League with a .338 average.
The Braves have two more games against the Marlins on Saturday and Sunday.
