Lance Berkman beginning rehab assignment on Saturday

Lance Berkman will head to Triple-A Round Rock to begin a rehab assignment on Saturday.

Berkman, 37, has been out since July 6 with a knee injury.

The Rangers are hoping to see Berkman back in the lineup by next weekend. He has been taking regular batting practice without any issues.
