The Texas Rangers have acquired right-handed pitcher Matt Garza from the Chicago Cubs.

Garza, 29, is 6-1 on the season with a 3.17 ERA.

It is being reported that Garza is headed to Arlington, while Mike Olt, right-handed prospect C.J. Edwards, Justin Grimm and a fourth unidentified player are headed to Chicago in return.

The deal, one that went back and forth for many days, and then seemed to hit a snag on Friday was completed just hours before Garza was set to start Monday for the Cubs. The Cubs called off Garza’s start when the deal got close.
