Atlanta Braves catcher Gerald Laird left Sunday’s game against the Chicago White Sox after taking a pitch off the hand.

Laird was hit on his left hand by a Carlos Quintana pitch in the fourth inning. X-rays came back negative.

The Braves used Joey Terdoslavich to pinch run for Laird and was moved to left field. Evan Gattis who began the game in left field moved behind the plate.

Laird was 1-for-1 prior to being hit and is hitting .306 on the season.
