The Seattle Mariners have recalled Dustin Ackley. Seattle is currently dealing with injuries to Michael Morse and Franklin Gutierrez which will allow Ackley to see time in left and center field.
Ackley was sent to Triple-A Tacoma in late May after compiling a .205/.266/.250 line over 45 games. When the Mariners optioned Ackley to Triple-A in May they called up Nick Franklin.
Once in Tacoma the 25-year-old Ackley began to hit. Ackley hit .365/.472/.500 in 25 games at Tacoma.
