Carlos Ruiz will make his season debut for the Phillies on Sunday after playing two games at Double-A.
Ruiz was suspended for the first 25 games of the season after testing positive for amphetamines.
The Phillies will certainly welcome the bat of Ruiz back to the lineup. Last year the 34-year-old hit .325/.394/.540 with 16 home runs and 68 RBI.
During the absences of Ruiz the Phillies have used Erik Kratz behind the plate. Kratz is hitting just .203/.213/.339 after 59 at-bats.
