Phil Mickelson will not be continuing on in the 2014 Masters.

At 5 over, Mickelson missed the cut on Friday by one stroke. Lefty made two triple bogeys during his first two days at the Masters.

He joins Tiger Woods on the sidelines. Woods dropped out of the Maters for the first time since 1994 after having back surgery.

This marks the first time that neither Mickelson or Woods will not be competing in a major since 2009.

“Why couldn’t I get it going? You know, I don’t really have a great answer for you,” Mickelson said. “I’ve actually played reasonably well for a majority of the holes, and then the ones that I let slide I end up making a big number.

“So it’s tough to overcome those big numbers.”
