The 139th running of the Kentucky Derby will take place Saturday evening. Dubbed the “Greatest Two Minutes in Sports” the race from Churchill Downs is slated to start at 6:24 pm ET and can be seen on NBC.
Coverage of the race will start on NBC at 4 pm and continue until 7 pm with post race coverage.
The favorite entering the race was Orb who opened as a 7/2 favorite but two other horses (Verrazano, Goldencents) also have odds of 5/1 or better.
Weather conditions at the track have made Revolutionary, who opened with 10/1 odds, a favorite as the race approaches.
