Towson University announced that it was cutting the baseball program so the players decided to do the same to the school’s name on their jerseys.

Players on the Towson baseball team covered up the school’s name with black duct tape. The players are planning to play out the remainder of the season with duct tape covering the school’s name.

Baseball is not the only sport being cut at the school as men’s soccer is also on the way out. Towson says cutting the sports will save the school $800,000. They will still honor current scholarships.
