Iowa, ghosts, baseball? Sure sounds like the plot to the movie Field of Dreams.

Six members of the Iowa Hawkeye baseball team and a member of the schools hockey team claims to be living with ghosts. The Daily Iowan reports that two spirits reside with the athletes.

Trevor Kenyon says he noticed the ghost one night when he opted to fall asleep watching a show on FX instead of the usual Big Ten Network. When he awoke the channel had been changed, later he noticed the remove had moved.

The players have spent two years in the house and claim to have heard slamming doors. Pitcher Aaron Smit says the players have noticed that the chairs around the kitchen table have been rearranged on more then one occasion.

Creepy huh? Then there is this…

And on two separate occasions, girlfriends of players have had underwear removed from them while sleeping, even though they were wearing pants. Each time, the undergarments were discovered in another place. Smit said the list “sort of goes on.”

The players were informed by one of the houses former inhabitants that it had once been a funeral home in the 1920s. It was then that they contacted the ‘Paranormal Activity Support Team’ who identified the spirits.

“We did find there are two spirits staying there,” Sandy Marler of the group said. “We got information that there was an older, grandfather-like gentlemen and a little girl around the age of 10, but they were not related.”

After asking the spirits some questions, the group determined that they meant no harm to anyone in the house. The players have decided not to renew their lease for next year.
