WWE’s newest PPV, “Battleground” will be live October 6 out of Buffalo, New York.

At Tuesday’s SmackDown tapings, it was announced that Rob Van Dam’s upcoming World Heavyweight Title match against Alberto Del Rio at WWE Battleground will be fought under hardcore rules.

The announcement was made during a backstage segment with Triple H and Vickie Guerrero.
