Jets head coach Rex Ryan believes that quarterback Michael Vick will be ready to go for Sunday’s game against the Steelers.
Ryan said hat Vick, who suffered a foot injury last week, is “going to be fine.”
“He’s got a foot that keeps getting stepped on,” said Ryan. “… I think he’s going to be fine.”
The Jets are not concerned about Vick’s foot and will place him on the field as their best chance to win. He played solid while on the field last week against the Chiefs.
Without Ryan Shazier and Troy Polamalu, Vick should have ample chances to attack the Steelers defense.
Even with Vick starting now, the Jets could easily turn back to Geno Smith at some point. They are still believed to be targeting a quarterback in the draft.
