The Oakland Raiders will find out this week whether or not cornerback D.J. Hayden will start the season on the reserve/PUP list.
NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports that “seems headed that way” but that the Raiders are “fine” with that. If Hayden starts the season on the reserve/PUP list he will miss the first six games.
On DJ Hayden: #Raiders’ll know this week if he’ll start the season on reserve/PUP. Seems headed that way, which the team seems fine with.

The Raiders like the depth they have at corner with Tarell Brown and Carlos Rogers expected to start in the absecence of Hayden. Chimdi Chekwa is expected to check in and cover an outside receiver in sub-packages.
Hayeden, the No. 12 pick of the 2013 draft, underwent surgery for a stress fracture in June following the Raiders minicamp.
