The New England Patriots offense did not click with Danny Amendola as some expected. Now the team may be willing to cut ties with the wide receiver after just one season.
According to Dan Pompei, the Patriots have “floated” Amendola in trade talks. It was just a few days ago that reports surfaced that the Patriots could cut him after June 1 to save $1.375 million against the cap. Last season the Patriots signed Amendola to a five-year deal worth $28.5 million.
Amendola finished the 2013 season with 54 catches for 633 yards and two touchdowns.
