New England Patriots wide receiver Danny Amendola will not need offseason surgery on his groin according to sources of MassLive.
Amendola will be entering the second year of a five-year deal worth $31 million. Amendola had a big first game for the Patriots topping 100 yards but missed the next three games before returning. His production picked up towards the end of the season.
Of the $5 million owed to Amendola this season, $2 million of it is guaranteed.
Amendola finished 2013 with 54 catches for 633 yards and two touchdowns. He has appeared in all 16 games just once during his five-year NFL career.
