In a move that will surprise none, Oregon Ducks quarterback Marcus Mariota will forego his senios season and enter the NFL Draft.
Mariota is said to have already finished his classes prior to this season and took classes including golf and yoga in 2014.
During the 2014 season Mariota captured the Heisman trophy but fell short in leading the Ducks to a National Championship.
Mariota and Florida State’s Jameis Winston will jockey over who will be the first quarterback selected in the draft in what has been deemed a weak quarterback class. With the first overall pick the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are expected to select a quarterback. It may not take long for the second quarterback to come off the board with many quarterback needy teams inside the top ten.
Standing 6’4 at 219 pounds, Mariota has the ideal NFL size to go along with a capable arm.
