Atlanta Braves catcher Evan Gattis hit a walk off home run on Monday night to give the team a 4-2 win over the Miami Marlins.
The home run was the fifth of the season for Gattis.
Braves starter Julio Teheran was denied a win when closer Craig Kimbrel blew his first save of the season. Teheran pitched seven innings allowing one run on five hits and a walk with eight strikeouts.
Ironically it was Gattis’ catcher interference which allowed the Marlins to move a runner into scoring position in the ninth inning which ultimately allowed the Marlins to tie it up on a Derek Dietrich double.
The Braves and Marlins will face each other again on Tuesday and Wednesday.
