Phil Hughes signed with the Minnesota Twins this offseason and the former New York Yankees pitcher said he could not be happier.
Per Pat Borzi of Sports on Earth:
“It was nice to get out of town. A change is nice sometimes. I think at certain points of your career, you’re ready for that.” He added: “Everybody here has been nice to me. It’ll take a little getting used to.”
Hughes finished the 2013 season wih a 4-14 record, 5.19 ERA and a 1.46 WHIP.
