Humber will remain in Astros rotation

Despite another bad outing on Thursday the Houston Astros have no plans to remove Philip Humber from the starting rotation. Humber has a 7.99 ERA on the season after allowing 15 runs over his last two starts.

The Astros picked up Humber in November after he was placed on waivers by the White Sox. White with the White Sox the right hander had a perfect game on April 21. Since then he has a 7.52 ERA.

Houston lacks many options for replacing Humber which has aided his stay in the rotation. Humber is not alone in his struggles in the Astros rotation. Erik Bedard (6.17) and Brad Peacock (7.50) have also struggled.
