William Byron earned the pole for Sunday’s Cup Series race at Martinsville Speedway.
Chase Briscoe and Denny Hamlin have already earned themselves spots in the championship battle at Phoenix Raceway with two spots still up for grabs in Sunday’s Cup race at Martinsville.
Entering the Xfinity 500, Christopher Bell (+37) and Kyle Larson (+36) are both in position to move into the championship battle, however four others remain eligible. For William Byron (-36), Joey Logano (-38), Ryan Blaney (-47), and Chase Elliott (-62) the most obvious way to advance would be by earning a trip to victory lane.
