Bobby Allison, one of NASCAR’s finest drivers, has passed away at age 86.
A member of the famed ‘Alabama Gang,’ Allison was recently credited with career win No. 85 for the 1971 Myers Brothers 250.
During his career Allison finished second in the Cup Series standings on numerous occasions before winning the 1983 title. He was a three time winner of the Daytona 500 and seven-time most popular driver.
Allison’s wife of 55 years, Judy, passed away in 2015. Their sons Davey (1993) and Clifford (1992) both preceded them in death.
