Nick Sanchez placed his No. 2 Chevrolet on the pole for Saturday’s running of the Baptist Health Cancer Care 200.
After a break the Craftsman Truck Series returns to the track as they complete the second of three races in the Round of 8 ahead of their championship finale at Phoenix Raceway.
The pole for Sanchez stands in stark contrast to how he left Talladega Superspeedway following a confrontation with Matt Crafton.
Carson Hocevar will join Sanchez on the front row, giving the race two championship eligible drivers up front at the start.
Coming into Homestead Corey Heim has secured his place in the championship race while Hocevar (+23), Christian Eckes (+9) and Sanchez (+3) currently are aove the cut line. Grant Enfinger (-3), Ben Rhodes (-5), Ty Majeski (-19) and Zane Smith (-36) are all hoping to push their way into the final round either here or next week at Martinsville.
