After previously saying that Carson Hocevar would drive the No. 42 Chevrolet for the remainder of the 2023 season, Legacy Motor Club walked back that decision on Monday.
John Hunter Nemechek will be the driver of the No. 42 machine this weekend at Homestead-Miami Speedway.

Hocevar will still drive for the team at Martinsville Speedway and Phoenix Raceway according to team owner Jimmie Johnson.
Nemechek will take over the reigns of the car full-time next season as the team shifts from Chevrolet to Toyota.
