Max Verstappen wins wet Dutch Grand Prix, Full Results

Max Verstappen continued his winning ways winning his ninth consecutive race of the season equaling a F1 record.

While there was some intrigue in the closing laps of the race for the remaining podium spots, Verstappen was never threatened for the win.

As Verstappen had a comfortable lead over Sergio Perez, the driver in second went off the track giving up second to Fernando Alonso. Moments later on lap 64 a virtual safety car came out for Zhou Guanyu who went off the track amid the wet conditions.

The fed flag would come out as Sergio Perez came to the pits. Perez would then be hit with a five second penalty for speeding in the pits. On the restart Verstappen would pull away from Alonso. Perez crossed the line third but with the penalty fell to fourth behind Pierre Gasly.

For Verstappen the win is his 11th of the season though 13 races and his 46th career win. Teammate Perez has the other two wins as Red Bull Racing has dominated the season.

Verstappen is now just four wins behind his record setting win total of a year ago with nine races remaining.
