Kyffin Simpson placed his No. 21 car at the top of the speed chart during Friday’s practice session for the Indy NXT race on Saturday.
Simpson would benefit on the speed chart as he would get a fastest lap in while others would not due to Ernie Francis Jr. running out of fuel.

Entering the Indy NXT race at Road America Christian Rasmussen holds a two point lead over Nolan Siegel. They were 10th and 18th fastest on Friday. Hunter McElrea is 40 points out in third in the point standings with just 25 points separating him from 11th place Francis Jr.

Several cars found themselves off track during the practice session.
The Indy NXT series will qualify on Saturday at 1:15 pm ET. Sunday’s race will take place at 11:10 pm ET and will air on Peacock and IndyCar Live with SiriusXM and IndyCar Radio having the radio broadcast.
