White Sox call up Clint Frazier, Jake Marisnick designated

The White Sox have called up Clint Frazier from Triple-A Charlotte.

It is unclear how much playing time the 28-year-old Frazier will get with the big league club but they could hope that his .375/.478/.839 line carries over.

Since being a first round pick of the Guardians in 2013, Frazier has appeared in the majors with the Yankees and Cubs putting together a /238/.329/.427 line with an 104 OPS+. After becoming a free agent at the end of last season he signed with the Rangers but failed to make it back to the majors, landing with the White Sox in late April.

In order to make room for Frazier on the roster the team has designated outfielder Jake Marisnick for assignment. Despite being with the team for the better part of two weeks, Marisnick had only gotten two at-bats and was used as a late defensive replacement across his nine appearances this season.
