Suarez, Buescher win heat races at North Wilkesboro

On Saturday night the NASCAR Cup Series ran two heat races head of Sunday’s All-Star race.

Those 60 lap races featured winners from the last two seasons. The 16 drivers not yet locked into the main event will fight through the 100-lap All-Star Open event to earn one of two transfer positions into the All-Star Race. The top two finishers will advance to the All-Star Race. In addition, the Fan Vote winner will also bump from the Open into the All-Star Race.

The All-Star Open will take place at 5:30 pm ET on Sunday airing on FS1 with the All-Star race to follow at 8 pm ET.
