Aric Almirola will look to knock one out of the park next weekend at Darlington Raceway.
Almirola’s No. 10 Ford Mustang will serve as a throwback to Dale Earnhardt Jr’s 2001 Daytona win in the Budweiser baseball scheme.
Earnhardt Jr. returned to Daytona for the summer race, returning to the track that claimed the life of his father in February. After winning the race Earnhardt Jr. and Michael Waltrip both did burn outs in celebration.
Smithfield will serve as the sponsor of Almirola’s car next weekend.
The team asked me to pick my favorite paint scheme for this year’s @TooToughToTame throwback race. @DaleJr’s 2001 Daytona win in the iconic Baseball scheme was the first that came to mind. An iconic and healing moment in our sport’s history. Honored to run it next weekend! pic.twitter.com/XgsSZfqWQz
