Christian Rasmussen won the Indy NXT race at Barber Motorsports Park, his first win of the 2023 season. Previously he won at Road America and Laguna Seca during the 2022 season.
The 35 lap race saw the largest Indy NXT field since 2009 take to the 16-turn track ahead of the IndyCar race later in the day.
Jamie Chadwick would suffer a broken toe link early in the race ruining her day.

Jacob Abel and Matteo Nanni got together on lap 15 bringing out a caution.

The caution came out again with five laps to go when Louis Foster went off track and made contact with a wall.

On the restart Nolan Siegel would keep Rasmusen within his grasp as Toby Sowery pressured him for second. As Sowery challenged Siegel, Rasmussen began to pull away in the final two laps.
On the final lap of the race teammates Danial Frost and Josh Green made contact with one another knocking both out of the top-five.
