Blaney on pole, lineup set for Martinsville Speedway

Ryan Blaney will start on the pole for the running of the Blue-Emu Maximum Pain Relief 500 at Martinsville Speedway on Wednesday night.

Joining Blaney on the front row for the mid-week race will be Aric Almirola.

The race will take place at 7 pm ET airing on FS1 and MRN.

Here is how the starting lineup was determined.

• Positions 1-12 determined by a random draw from charter teams in those positions in team owner points
• Positions 13-24: Random draw among charter teams in those positions in owner points
• Positions 25-36: Random draw among charter teams in those positions in owner points
• Positions 37-40 will be filled out by open, non-chartered teams in order of owner points
