Wednesday evening the Tigers and Blue Jays were able to complete a trade. Heading to the Tigers is pitcher Nick Tepesch in exchange for cash considerations.
Tepesch, 29, has pitched at both Double-A and Triple-A but has had little success on the year. He will report to Double-A Erie.
The right handed Tepesch last appeared in a major league game with the Blue Jays in 2017. He has also appeared in games with the Twins, Dodgers and Rangers. In total he has appeared in 47 games including 44 starts compiling a 10-20 record to go with a 4.71 ERA and a 1.41 WHIP.
Tepesch owns a 144/80 K/BB ratio in 238 2/3 big league innings.
