The quarterback situation for the Colts is in dire shape.
Andrew Luck has been out for weeks due to a lacerated kidney. Meanwhile Matt Hasselbeck has suffered injures to his shoulder, back, jaw, ribs and of course food poisoning this season. Last Sunday marked the fourth straight game in which he was unable to finish while his replacement Charlie Whitehurst was placed on injured reserve himself due to a hamstring pull.
All those injures left Stephen Morris as the only healthy option for the Colts but on Tuesday the team added Josh Freeman and Ryan Lindley.
Freeman has not thrown a regular season pass since Week 7 of the 2013 season when he seemed ill prepared in a start for the Vikings. Lindley was historically awful in a playoff loss for the Cardinals last year while operating in place of injured Carson Palmer and Drew Stanton.
The Colts are still mathematically eligible for the playoffs but need a win, a Texans loss and a lot of other things to happen if they are to make the Wild Card round.
