Former Detroit Tigers pitcher Phil Coke is hoping to land a major league deal this offseason.
Coke, 32, finished last season with a 3.88 ERA and a 1.53 WHIP during 58 innings of work. The left hander continues to look for a big league deal even as comparable relievers in Joe Thatcher and Matt Albers have accepted minor league deals with invitations to spring training.
There are plenty of teams who may be willing to pay Coke if he preforms in spring training but landing a guaranteed deal may be difficult.
Phil Coke seeking ≈ $2M on big league deal per source. A few possible fits for #MLB deals & wide-ranging interest on minor league deals.
