Ric Flair to miss playoff game due to arrest warrant, not death threats

In what can only be considered a hilarious script, wrestler Ric Flair will not attend Sunday’s playoff game between the San Francisco 49ers and Carolina Panthers.

Flair recently traveled to Green Bay and gave the San Francisco 49ers a pep talk prior to their Wild Card win a week ago. Flair went on to say that the 49ers would beat the Panthers the following week.

That did not sit well with the Panthers or their fans. Reports soon circulated that Flair would miss the game due to death threats.

Flair will miss the game but not necessarily for death threats. Flair has a warrant out for his arrest in North Carolina reports the Charlotte Business Journal.

On July 3, Mecklenburg District Court JudgeChristy T. Mann signed an order for the arrest of one Richard Fliehr on contempt of court violations. Flair has not paid a court order to pay $32,352.51 in post-sepration support to his estranged spouse.

Flair is to be kept in custody until the debt is paid.
