David Ragan pulled off a upset with help from teammate David Gilliland by winning the Aaron’s 499 on Sunday but not everyone was happy. Brad Keselowski said he was “happy as hell a small team won” but exception with the final restart of the race.
Keselowski, the 2012 series champion, took to twitter to complain about the final restart as Ragan had made his way to victory lane to celebrate his second career win.
mad as hell about that finish. We were suppose to line up 10th when the 34 switched lanes entering 3 before green. That lane won.BS

Currently there is has been no video that sheds any light on Keselowski’s claim. The final restart does not clearly show what happened, so until additional video surfaces it is open for discussion.
Martin Truex Jr. tweeted the following message which goes along with what Keselowski had complained about.
Yes @keselowski was supposed to start on outside in front of me. I was 12th 2 was 10th but 34 started in front of me.

NASCAR made a statement which said that Keselowski was in the wrong lane on the final restart.
“The No. 2 car was not in the proper lane for the final restart. So NASCAR had the No. 2 car move into the proper lane – the No. 34 car was lined up properly all along.”
Needless to say Keselowski was none too thrilled.
HaThat’s laughable. #Ridiculous“@bigdadron14: @keselowski I just heard you were in wrong lane from NASCAR.”

After a wreck NASCAR often needs a lap or two to reset the field so it is not uncommon for drivers to be lined up incorrectly even with one to go before the green.
Ragan’s win was the first for Front Row Motorsports who also recorded a second place finish with Gilliland.
