Nick Swisher will not visit Seattle, greeted by Tressel in Cleveland

Seattle was once considered a possible landing spot for free agent outfielder Nick Swisher. The two no longer seem to be a match as the 32-year-old will no longer meet with the Mariners this week.

If Seattle were to sign Swisher they would forfeit the twelfth pick in the 2013 draft. Signing Michael Bourn would also cost the Mariners the draft pick.

Seattle has been trying to find ways to add offense to a lineup that was 27th in runs scored and 19th in home runs with 149.

Last season Swisher hit .272/.364/.473 with 24 home runs. His 93 RBI were two short of his career high from the 2006 season.

There are multiple teams that are interested in him, none more so then the Cleveland Indians who met with Swisher on Tuesday. During that meeting former Ohio State football coach Jim Tressel served as a greeter for the team.

The Boston Red Sox and Baltimore Orioles are also interested in signing Swisher.
