ThorSport Racing and Dakoda Armstrong part ways

Dakoda Armstrong will no longer drive the No. 98 truck for ThorSport Racing in NASCAR’s Camping World Truck Series. The truck will continue to race at Iowa and beyond according to team officials.

The reason for the parting of ways is a lack of sponsorship.

“We have been very lucky this season with the partners that the Armstrong’s have brought to the #98 truck,” said team spokesman Matt LaNeve. “However sponsorship funding was unable to be secured for the remaining eight races, resulting in ThorSport Racing having to part ways with Dakoda.”

The departure of Armstrong will not impact the rest of ThorSport Racing’s entries in racing. The team will continue to run trucks for Matt Crafton and Johnny Sauter. The team also fields an ARCA entry for Frank Kimmell.
