Faith Motorsports is growing

Faith Motorsports will attempt to be a two car operation during the 2011 Nationwide season. With Morgan Sheppard behind the wheel of car #89 and 43-year-old Brett Rowe racing a second entry.

Thus far it’s unknown what number Rowe will be driving but the points of the #89 car from last season will be moved over to his ride. Sheppard will take the points of the #21, in which he raced part of last season, of Richard Childress Racing. Childress will keep the car number.

Rowe has appeard in 22 races over the last four seasons in the Nationwide Series. Last year he ran 3 laps at Montreal before overheating and exiting the race. He also attempted to run at Daytona, Nashville and Phoenix but failed to qualify.

Shepherd, 69, qualified for 27 races last season. He began racing at NASCAR’s top level in 1970 and earned 4 career wins in 514 starts in the Sprint Cup Series. His last race in that series was back in 2006.

Since that time Shepherd has been running Faith Motorsports. He’s appeared in 96 races over the last four years finishing on the lead lap 6 times.
