Nnamdi Asomugha will sign a one-day contract with the Oakland Raiders and then retire.
Asomugha, 32, was let go by the San Francisco 49ers in November after he was benched in Week 4. It was the final fall for Asomugha who had signed a five-year $60 million deal with the Philadelphia Eagles in 2011.
A two-time Pro Bowler, Asomugha has opted to retire with the team that drafted him as the No. 31 pick of the 2003 draft.
