Packers WR Donald Driver set to retire, says “I’m not coming back. I’m at peace.”

Green Bay Packers WR Donald Driver is set to retire on Feb 6, 2013 according to a team press release. Driver is the Packers all-time leading receiver in receptions and yards. He was a member of the Super Bowl XLV Championship team.

Driver was a part of three Pro Bowl teams and had seven seasons where he had over 1,000 yards at WR.

“I played my entire career in Green Bay and have always enjoyed a special bond with the fans,” said Driver. “I can think of no better way to retire than to celebrate with them and the Packers organization.”

Driver will retire at a public event that is taking place in the Lambeau Field Auditorium. Fans can get free tickets starting on Feb 1 at the ticket office.

Driver has been a member of the Packers for 14 years. When he was asked if he would ever change his mind and come back, he said, “I’m not coming back. I’m at peace.”
