Richard Sherman played the Super Bowl with an injured left elbow. On Monday it was announced that the star cornerback would not need offseason surgery.

According to FOX Sports’ Mike Garafolo, Sherman will not need Tommy John surgery on his left elbow. Instead he is set to rehab it.

If Sherman is indeed avoiding offseason surgery then there should be no concern as to whether or not he will be available for training camp.

Former Seahawks linebacker Lofa Tatupu was hired by the team as a linebackers coach.

Tatupu had a solid career spending six seasons with the Seahawks before knee injuries took their tole. The now 32-year-old was the 45th overall pick in 2005.
