Super Bowl 50: Panthers vs. Broncos betting odds, point spread and tv watching information

The wait is over. The Super Bowl is today! In a few hours the NFC Champion Carolina Panthers and AFC Champion Denver Broncos will square off in the 50th edition of the big game.

Led by landslide MVP Cam Newton, the Panthers nearly ran the table in the regular season going 15-1. They followed that up by a convincing first half against Seattle and then the obliteration of Arizona in the NFC Championship game. They look to finish off their season with their first franchise Super Bowl.

Peyton Manning dealt with injury and ineffectiveness this season before returning in Week 17. The soon to be 40 year old led the Broncos to the No. 1 seed in the AFC and eventually a Super Bowl trip. Will he walk out of the game on top?

The Super Bowl takes place on Sunday February 7. Television coverage starts at 6:30 pm ET on CBS and ESPN Deportes from Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, CA.

The Betting Odds: The Panthers opened as a 4 point favorite in Super Bowl 50. That line has moved all week but currently sits at 5 today. The over/under for this game has also fallen to 44 total points.

If this is going to be a low scoring game it would figure to favor the Broncos, but if the scoring starts one has to wonder if Manning can channel some of his former greatness for one last stand…
