Heath Miller expected to return to Steelers for 2016

It is hard to imagine tight end Heath Miller playing anywhere but Pittsburgh and according to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette the veteran should be back with the club next season.

With the evolution of the Steelers offense under Todd Haley the 33-year-old Miller has seen his numbers drop off a bit but he remains one of the better tight ends in the league. Miller’s blocking has also taken a bit of a step back in recent years but owed just $4 million it is hard to imagine he will not be on the Steelers roster come 2016.

Jesse James could take away more of Miller’s snaps next year but the latter should open the season as the starter.

Miller caught 60 passes last year for 535 yards and two touchdowns.
