Former University of Texas quarterback Vince Young was arrested in Austin for driving while intoxicated.

The former first-round pick of the Tennessee Titans was booked into Travis County Jail at 12:46 p.m. according to court records. His bail was set at $2,000 according to the Austin Statesman.

Young refused a preliminary breath test and a blood test. Police said his speech was mumbled and slurred.

Young’s biggest success on the football field came in the 2006 Rose Bowl where he led the Longhorns to a win over the USC Trojans. He went on to spend six largely uneventful seasons in the NFL. His last snaps in the NFL came back in 2011 and he recently was not invited to the veterans combine. The Cleveland Browns signed Young before the 2014 NFL Draft but released him once they drafted Johnny Manziel.

Nowadays Young serves as a diversity and community engagement officer in the Division of Diversity and Community Engagement at the University of Texas at Austin.
