Broncos decline to name playoff QB, Manning expected to start

After Peyton Manning came on in relief to lead the Broncos to a Week 17 victory over the Chargers, head coach Gary Kubiak has a decision to make about who starts for the team in the Divisional round of the playoffs.

Brock Osweiler committed three turnovers while the offense made five total under his watch in the first half. Osweiler led the Broncos to just seven points, which came on an opening drive as result of a 72 yard touchdown pass to Demaryius Thomas which was more about his moves than Osweiler’s pass.

Under Manning the offense looked productive even if his final line was far from eye popping. With Manning the offense had running lanes for C.J. Anderson and were able to score 20 second half points.

Mike Kils of the Denver Post is joining just about everyone in speculating that Manning will start.
