Bears GM throws support behind Jay Cutler

The Bears suffered a large number of injures to their receiving corps this season but quarterback Jay Cutler was one of the bright sports on the offense.

A day after a 24-20 loss to the Lions left the Bears at 6-10 for the season general manager Ryan Pace said the team had “extreme confidence” in Cutler at the quarterback position.

In his first year under head coach John Fox and offensive coordinator Adam Gase, Cutler looked well. Last year there were reports the Bears could trade him to the Titans but there has been no talk of anyone other than Cutler being under center in 2016.

Even with the words of Pace and the aforementioned paragraph, Cutler is entering a all of nothing season for the Bears in 2016. Part of the confidence the Bears have in Cutler exists because they owe him $10 million guaranteed.
