Josh Freeman working out for Colts

The Week 17 game against the Titans could be a meaningless game for the Colts but alas it still must be played. Who will quarterback the Colts is very much in question for that game after both Matt Hasselbeck and Charlie Whitehurst suffered injuries in Sunday’s win over the Dolphins.

Hasselbeck is dealing with injuries to his right throwing shoulder, jaw, back, neck and ribs and said after the game on Sunday that he did not believe he would be ready in time for the regular season finale. Whitehurst relieved him in that contest but suffered a hamstring injury late leaving Stephen Morris to finish out the game.

Morris was signed last Thursday as the only healthy quarterback on the Colts roster. While Andrew Luck (kidney) has not been ruled out for the game it is hard to imagine the team starting him behind a thin offensive line in a game which very well means nothing.

That leaves the Colts to evaluate quarterbacks this week. Up first is Josh Freeman who spent some time with the Dolphins in camp this year but has not taken a regular season snap since 2013. The 27-year-old flamed out during his time with the Buccaneers and was in the doghouse during a brief stay with the Vikings in 2013.
