Peyton Manning fails to become NFL’s all-time leader in passing yards

Peyton Manning is still second the NFL’s all-time leader in passing yards.

In Sunday’s game against his former team, the Indianapolis Colts, Manning tried topped the mark of 71,838 which had been held by Brett Favre.

With just over 9 minutes to go in the fourth Manning threw – from about six yards out – towards Demaryius Thomas but pass interference resulted in the ball being placed at the two. A moment later he threw to Owen Daniels for a one yard yard touchdown pass leaving him three yards short.

The following series Manning was intercepted by Darius Butler. He would never get the ball back after a serious of penalties by the defense aided the Colts in running out the clock on the game ending the Broncos perfect season.
