The Chicago Bears made a pair of late evening signings on Wednesday adding wide receiver Eddie Royal and safety Antrel Rolle.

Royal formerly of the San Diego Chargers is coming off a season in which he caught 62 balls for 778 yards and seven touchdowns. During his previous stay with the Denver Broncos the now 28-year-old Royal worked with quarterback Jay Cutler and new offensive coordinator Adam Gase.

The addition of Royal should help the Bears work the middle of the field while allowing Alshon Jeffery and Marquess Wilson to be large targets on the outside for Cutler.

Also joining the Bears is full safety Anrel Rolle who gets a three year deal worth $11.25 million of which $5 million is guaranteed.

Coming off a poor season the Bears will hope the veteran can turn things around and provide much needed leadership within the locker room. He has picked off nine passes and broken up 21 across the last two seasons. He has spent the last five seasons of his NFL career with the New York Giants.
